Hospital Practice
MANA
physicians provide care to patients in 13 area hospitals including
Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Franklin Square Medical Center, Greater Baltimore Medical Center,
Harbor Hospital, Howard County General Hospital, Levindale Hebrew
Geriatric Home & Hospital, UM Midtown Campus, Mercy
Hospital, Northwest Hospital Center, Saint Agnes Hospital, Sinai
Hospital of Baltimore, St. Joseph Medical Center, and Union Memorial
Hospital. MANA physicians currently act as the Chief of Nephrology at 8
of these hospitals.
Office Practice
Our
providers see patients at 12 offices. As part of our comprehensive plan
of care for our patients, we have a Kidney HOME (Home Options and
Medical Education) Center dedicated to providing education on chronic
kidney disease. We feel it is imperative that patients gain knowledge
regarding their medical condition and take an active role in their own
care.
Dialysis Practice
MANA
physicians and nurse practitioners provide care to patients on home
hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and in-center hemodialysis. At the
Kidney HOME Center we provide training on home dialysis therapies to
those patients who are interested in dialyzing at home.
Vascular Access Services
As
part of the comprehensive care we provide to our patients on dialysis,
we maintain 2 outpatient vascular access centers where patients can get
same day minimally invasive radiological procedures to maintain the
function of their dialysis accesses. We have found that by providing
these interventional procedures on an outpatient basis, our patients
experience much less disruption to their overall dialysis treatment
plan. Procedures that previously required a hospital stay are now
performed within our practice in an outpatient setting. Depending on the
procedures performed, patients can be treated at our vascular access
centers in less than 1&1/2 hours.
